My persuasive essay: Why you shouldn't kill snakes

When you see a garter (not garden) snake don’t kill it. They are important for the environment. Some snakes feed on mice who carry ticks reducing the amount of lime disease. Snakes are reptiles as you may know. They have cold blood so don’t trap them in a barn or other dark area. One rat eating snake can decimate a whole rat family in one week. Snakes are roaming around because they are trying to find a den or to hunt not for you though! They are not planning to take over. Snakes do it without damaging the earth they don’t dig holes they are from their own prey they don’t chew or damage the landscape (I wish I could say that about our neighborhood squirrel) as you can see, snakes are good for the earth
Not convinced? That snakes aren't only helpful but harmless? Snakes kill slugs and other garden pests. Infant snakes look like worms so turtles, birds and frogs eat them. If you kill them and talk about it, then other people will kill them that doesn't mean to kill them and not talk about it. New Hampshire snakes don’t have venom. They will not bite unless stepped on, threatened, poked or cornered. Still don’t go to the amazon thinking that walking around an anaconda that it won’t bite. They will not bite if you pick them up carefully ever tried picking up a raccoon about to loot your trash can? Not only do they help the environment they help the gardens, you and the house.
Are you wondering, how can I help? Well if you are I advise you to listen up! Snakes live in logs, rocks, bushes and other holes/dens don’t destroy possible homes for snakes instead you can make homes for snakes for example, you could dig a whole (a small hole) and put a log on it. If a snake gets into a garage, car or other temporarily used household or outside item. Encourage friends, family members to not fear snakes. All you have to do is a couple thing and it will make an enormous difference.
You’re probably thinking, you are giving us so much to do are you doing anything? As a matter of fact I am. I do not harm or kill snakes, I never block/demolish possible homes for snakes, I have educated myself to not fear snakes,  I try to encourage my family to not fear snakes by telling them about my report, I try to make possible homes for snakes by pushing back brambles in a bush for a burrow. It’s not only you together we can do this.

Some people may think, somebody else will do it or I’ll be dead then. What about the world that you live in it will be destroyed not just snakes also Styrofoam, pollution, cardboard, plastic bottles and many more. I don’t want our grandchildren’s grandchildren to not know what a snake is. It doesn't take 500 people to change the world it could only take one why not you? It depends on what you do with an idea.
